This winter, Laurence King Publishing will be spreading holiday cheer by donating 10% of the proceeds from all books and gifts sold from our website to two important charities on either side of the pond as part of our #GiftWithLKP campaign.
Opening Doors in London and the Ali Forney Center in New York are both beacons of safety and belonging for LGBT+ communities in their respective areas. A donation of 10% of the sales from our website from 1st of November until the 31st of December will be split between these organizations.
If you're looking for gifts to give your loved ones, check out our online shop to #GiftWithLKP and join us in supporting these important charities.
The more you have in your shopping cart, the bigger our donation will be to the charities – but you'll also benefit from our tiered discounts, which give you bigger savings the more you buy.

The Ali Forney Center is the largest and most comprehensive agency dedicated to LGBT+ homeless youths in the United States—assisting nearly 1,800 young people per year through a 24-hour Drop-In Center that provides over 65,000 meals annually, medical and mental health services through an on-site clinic, and a scattered-site housing program.
AFC’s goal is to provide homeless LGBT+ youths with the support and services they need to escape the streets and begin to live healthy and independent lives.
All author proceeds received by Simon Doonan from the sale of Drag: The Complete Story, will also be donated to the Ali Forney Center.

Opening Doors London (ODL) is the biggest charity in the UK to provide information and support services specifically for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people over 50. The charity exists to enable LGBT+ people aged over 50 to live full and vibrant lives free from loneliness, isolation, and discrimination.
ODL is a membership organisation with over 2000 members, offering over 40 groups and social activities every month across London. They support around 90 active befriending relationships, which pair up LGBT+ people over 50 who are feeling socially isolated with a volunteer for regular social contact. They also offer training for health and social care professionals to confidently meet the specific needs of older LGBT+ people in care.
